I enjoyed the Common Core activity, because our group was able to truly analyze the "staircase" effect of how the standards build in depth of knowledge from year to year.  I think all teachers would appreciate this activity and benefit from comparing the grade levels just below and above the one they currently teach.  The best way to process and apply new procedures is often to jump in and analyze similarities and differences.  This activity made the common core more "approachable" for me.
